Empyrean XModel

The device model is one of the process library files provided by a semiconductor foundry.  It serves as a fundamental component of circuit simulation and analysis.

Based on device physics, device model uses mathematical formulations to describe device behavior and performance. Through mathematical equations, equivalent circuit representations, and process-calibrated parameter extraction, the model accurately characterizes the device's current-voltage relationships and other electrical characteristics.   

Empyrean XModel is a high-performance device modeling and parameter extraction solution. It supports CMOS, discrete device, and wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies, including SiC and GaN. The platform offers comprehensive capabilities for test data processing and analysis, nominal and process-corner model extraction, layout-dependent effect (LDE) modeling, statistical and mismatch characterization, and model library verification.
